Flight Studio is made by Esteps Solutions LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the Flight Studio app and this website collect and why.

What stays on your Mac

Your videos, photos, flight logs, logbook, notes, tags, battery and aircraft records are stored on your Mac. We do not upload them and we cannot see them.

What the app sends, and to whom

DJI log decryption. To open an encrypted DJI flight record, the app sends that flight's encrypted key request (not the log itself, and not your footage) to our key server, which forwards it to DJI's official service and returns the decryption keys.

Weather and terrain. To show weather and height above ground, the app requests data for the flight's location and time from Open-Meteo and from public elevation data hosted on Amazon Web Services.

Maps and place names. Map images are loaded from the map provider shown in the app, and place names may be looked up from OpenStreetMap, using the takeoff location.

License. If you buy Pro, the app sends your license key and an activation ID to Lemon Squeezy (and to our server, to show your renewal date). Lemon Squeezy is our reseller and handles payment details; we never see your card.

Free trial. So each Mac gets one free trial, the app sends our server a one-way scrambled code (a hash) made from your Mac's hardware ID — not the ID itself — and we store it with the date your trial started.

Updates. Once a day the app checks a small file on this website for a newer version.

This website

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page) for security, for up to 30 days. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. The checkout is provided by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy.

Your choices

Flights are private by default; exports of private flights leave out coordinates and map imagery. You can mask places such as your home. You can delete flights from the Logbook at any time, which removes them from your Mac.
